The aging senior population has made immense contributions to the generations that follow. They have forged new frontiers, they are repositories of history, custodians of cultural values, and guardians of legacies of previous generations. They have challenged us to make the world a better place now and for the next generation. As a tribute to the seniors in our communities and beyond, the concept of Castle Maven was born to empower them to age in place on their own terms.
Darlene, the “Castle Maven”, is a Registered Nurse (RN), and a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS). She has direct patient care experience in the areas of Medical/Surgical, Neurology, Pulmonary, Orthopedics, Discharge Planning, and Patient Education. She was a Case Manager for a national managed care company with approximately 15 million members. Most recently, she was a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor specializing in the Healthcare/Health Sciences sector.
In addition to a degree in Nursing, Darlene has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Management (BSBM) with a specialization in Industry Analysis from the University of Redlands. She also holds an MBA, Cum Laude, from Rutgers University. She is a member of Women in Technology International (WITI), the National Association of Women MBA’s (NAWMBA), the Female Founder Collective (FCC), and the Rutgers Alumni Association. Darlene was raised by exceptional parents who instilled the importance of honoring and caring for her parents as the age on their own terms. As the founder of Castle Maven, she is excited to lead a senior-focused enterprise with the care and diligence engrained throughout her personal life and professional career.
